Does your child often ask “Huh?” or “What?”, or appear to have difficulty understanding speech in noisy settings? Does your child “mishear” what has been said? Does your child struggle with reading? These are all symptoms of a possible Auditory Processing Disorder. This session will cover what auditory processing is, what it means to have an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), the impact it has on learning and social/emotional development and what is possible in terms of treatment. There are several support materials available to compliment this session. It is presented by Dr. Deborah O’Sullivan, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology. She has a private practice focusing on the pediatric population and those with Auditory Processing Disorder.
